Behind the Signs

When choosing an LED display, LED pixel pitch is one of the most important specifications to consider. It’s also easy to assume that a smaller pixel pitch automatically means a better screen. But that isn’t always the case. The right pixel pitch depends on how the display will be used, how far away it will […]

When specifying a fine-pitch indoor LED display, GOB and COB are two technologies you're increasingly likely to come across. Both deliver high-quality visual performance and increased protection compared with conventional SMD LED, but they're constructed differently and each has advantages depending on the application. The right choice comes down to more than technology alone. Viewing […]

Digital signage networks make bold promises. Seamless communication across locations. Dynamic content that adapts instantly. Operational efficiency that leaves static signs looking ancient. Many networks fall short. Technical difficulties, content management chaos, maintenance headaches drain resources instead of creating value. The difference between success and expensive failure? Planning. Systematic, thorough planning that covers every component. […]

Building compliance isn't optional in Australia. It's the foundation keeping occupants safe, inspections passing, costly retrofits at bay. Statutory signage remains misunderstood, treated as afterthoughts rather than integral project planning components. Non-compliance consequences extend beyond failed inspections. Hefty penalties, insurance complications, genuine safety risks that endanger lives. Understanding requirements from project outset protects timelines and […]

Minor details before 2019 became major compliance requirements overnight. Non-combustible signage emerged as more than regulation satisfaction. It represents fundamental life protection commitment when fires threaten building safety. Understanding requirements protects projects from costly delays […]

Hospitals pulse with anxiety. Every corridor decision matters. A single wrong turn can spiral into missed appointments, delayed treatments, mounting frustration. Patients arrive vulnerable. They need clarity, not confusion. Yet countless visitors still get lost daily. Staff waste time giving directions instead of providing care. Properly designed hospital signage cuts through confusion, reduces stress, builds […]

Signage plays an important role in how customers experience your brand. It also supports wayfinding, communication and safety across your sites. However, signage can deteriorate over time. Branding can become inconsistent, lighting can fail and signs can become damaged or outdated. Regular signage audits help identify these issues before they become larger problems. They provide […]

Before fabrication or permits, the most valuable work happens on site. A thorough survey replaces assumptions with facts: accurate measurements, safe fixing options and access needs. It also captures what drawings miss such as door swings and clearances, sightlines and after‑dark glare, power and data locations, drainage and shade patterns, and any heritage or planning […]

Public art changes how people feel about a place. A plaza that once felt like a shortcut becomes a destination. A blank wall becomes a story people stop to read. When art meets good urban design, spaces stop being anonymous and start becoming part of daily life. Yet beauty on its own is not the […]

Aged care facilities present navigation challenges that residents shouldn't have to face alone. Visual impairments affect sign readability. Cognitive changes make familiar hallways seem foreign. Even the simplest journey to the dining room or bathroom can become overwhelming. During busy times, these challenges become more apparent. Residents hesitate at corridor intersections, unsure of where to […]
